    Sachio Semmoto

    Dr. Semmoto joined RENOVA as an External Board Member in 2014, becoming Chairman in 2015. Prior to RENOVA, he founded four leading telecom companies including KDDI and eAccess. He was also a full professor at Keio University, and a visiting professor of University of California, Berkeley. He holds a BS in Engineering from Kyoto University and PhD in Engineering from University of Florida.

    Yosuke Kiminami

    Mr. Kiminami founded RENOVA in 2000 and became the CEO. He grew RENOVA from its original Environmental Consulting business to include Plastic Recycling and Renewable Energy. Prior to RENOVA, he worked for McKinsey & Company. He holds a BS in Human Sciences, Faculty of Integrated Human Studies from Kyoto University.

  • Mr. Suyama joined RENOVA in 2016. Prior to RENOVA, he was the customer service director at SoftBank, and prior to that was the President and Representative Director of eAccess (acquired by SoftBank). He co-founded ACCA Networks in 2000, and prior to that was involved in software development at NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone). He holds a BA from the University of Tokyo (College of Arts and Sciences).

  • Mr. Ogawa joined RENOVA in 2012 and took his current role from 2017. Prior to RENOVA, he worked for Takenaka Corp. as a Structural Engineer and a Project Manager. He holds a MS in Engineering from the University of Tokyo, MBA from the University of Cambridge.

  • Mr. Mori joined RENOVA as the CFO in 2015. Prior to RENOVA, he worked for Goldman Sachs in Tokyo and New York as an Investment Banker. Prior to that, he worked for KPMG. He holds a BA in Commerce with a focus on Finance and Accounting from Waseda University.

  • Mr. Imaoka joined RENOVA in 2014 and took his current role from 2017. He also serves as a director of the Japan Geothermal Association. Prior to RENOVA, he spent two years volunteering in Fukushima. Prior to that, he was a partner at A.T. Kearney. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Tokyo.

  • Dr. Lee joined RENOVA in 2017 as the Director of Global Business Development. She is a Korean-American from Los Angeles, California.
    Prior to REVOVA, her career spanned across various sectors and industries: the Clinton White House, Citadel Investment Group , Information Analytics Group of Caterpillar, Harvard University, and the Asian Development Bank. She received a Ph.D. in economics from M.I.T., and her areas of specialty are International Finance and Econometrics.
    Dr. Lee taught various economics and statistics courses at Harvard University and M.I.T. for both undergraduates and M.B.A. students.
